He is suspected of being behind the country’s largest drug site

Fly agaric has been likened to a block for drugs. With a few clicks, customers could receive drugs by mail. Flugsvamp 3.0 has, as the name suggests, two predecessors. The first version was closed in 2014, while Flugsvamp 2.0 was shut down in the fall of 2018. Just a few months after Flugsvamp 2.0 stopped working, the sequel Flugsvamp 3.0 was launched in Sweden. On Wednesday, the trial began against the man who allegedly created and was responsible for the site and who is charged with particularly serious drug offences. In the marketplace, there has been the sale of benzodiazepines, cannabis preparations, central stimulants, hallucinogens, opiates and other narcotics. The narcotics were smuggled into Sweden in traditional ways and sold via the website to Swedish buyers with the help of the national post office. Turned over billions The sellers posted pictures of the drugs for sale and payment was made with cryptocurrencies. According to the police’s investigation, the site had a turnover of at least SEK 2.5 billion in bitcoin. A large part of the evidence consists of the tracking of cryptocurrencies. – The initial measures had a lot to do with tracking cryptocurrencies. Then we made concrete seizures and found more evidence, says Henrik Söderman, senior prosecutor. On the marketplace, sellers could publish which drugs were for sale and customers could then leave reviews that governed the seller’s rating. Previously unpunished In the police investigation, there are images from product reviews from buyers. “Nice tanning for a very good price! Fast delivery despite red day and excellent stealth and packaging”, reads a review with the highest rating. The man who is being charged is previously unpunished and denies any crime. Two more people are charged with aiding and abetting particularly serious drug offences. – My client is of course not feeling well in view of the accusations leveled against him. During our case presentation, we will be able to show that he is not guilty, says the man’s lawyer, Kinora Awrohum. Flugsvamp 3.0 was active until November 2021 and shortly after Flugsvamp 3.0 was closed, the fourth variant was created.
