The surgery to dissolve the bone junction in the hip joint and place the prosthesis, which is a very rare operation, was successfully performed. Ümit Tunç, whose treatment is ongoing and counting the days until he can walk, has regained mobility in his right hip, which has not had mobility for 35 years.
Stating that he broke his left hip socket as a result of falling from the roof in the village 2 years ago, Ümit Tunç said, “I am engaged in livestock farming. In 2022, I fell off the roof and fractured my left pelvis and left hip socket bone. I came here. I met Dr. Burak. He operated on me and also diagnosed the problem in my right hip. A year after my left hip was fixed, he called me and came. Now they did the right hip surgery. I regained my health. “I am grateful to all of them,” he said.

Due to a fracture in his left hip. We performed the surgery in our hospital. Since then, he had complaints about the immobility of his right hip. “After his left side was completely healed, we completed the preparations with the prosthetic method in our clinic and performed the surgery for the problem in his right hip.” he said.

We had previously performed surgery for his left hip fracture. After the fracture in his left hip socket healed, he told us about the problem in his right hip. After the surgeries he underwent 35 years ago, we found that his right hip bone was completely fused to the right hip socket and the hip bone and pelvis became a single and immobile bone. We found that the patient had completely lost mobility in his right hip. There was no movement in the right hip joint for 35 years because the hip bone was completely fused to the pelvis. The hip joint is the largest joint in our body. The hip joint works in coordination with other joints in the body. If the movement of the hip joint is eliminated, the spine is especially affected. And these patients have very serious back pain and spine pain. We detected the same symptoms in Mr. Ümit. And we performed a surgery last week to dissolve the bone junction in the hip joint, perform a prosthetic surgery there and make this part mobile, and we got a very successful result. Our patient can now move and use his right hip. It is a very important step for him to regain his health. These surgeries can be performed very rarely. We held it for the first time in Erzincan. “Our patient will be able to walk soon,” he said.
