Olympic heroes Hanna Öberg and Martin Ponsiluoma told us last year that they are a couple. Now they are taking the next step together.
– It feels great fun, says Hanna Öberg.

Hanna Öberg and Martin Ponsiluoma both had a successful Olympic championship in Beijing. The former won gold in the women’s relay, while Ponsiluoma took silver in the mass start.

Taking the next step

They are two of Sweden’s very best biathletes, and before last season they told us that they have found each other. Now Hanna Öberg tells us that they have taken the next step in their relationship. They bought a house together.

– We have already lived together before, but now it will be more real. We have bought a small house in Östersund together and of course it feels great, says Hanna Öberg to Expressen and continues:

– Both Martin and I grew up in houses and then it’s enough that you want to return to domestic life, there are some things that you don’t really have access to when you live in an apartment.

“Be a little worried”

Hanna Öberg goes on to say that they haven’t had time to move into the house yet. They plan to do it before the racing season starts this winter. Instead, the focus has been entirely on being as good as possible on the tracks next season.

– The training has gone significantly better this summer than it did last year. Then it was really only in the autumn that it started to drop. And then I was a little worried about the winter, but it went well after that. But now I have had a better starting position, she says.
