The Israeli army announced that ‘hostage raids’ were carried out in Gaza. Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated that soldiers carried out ‘point operations’ in the blockaded Gaza Strip to determine the location of hostages held by Palestinian groups.

Hagari said that it has been confirmed that 222 people have been taken hostage so far in the surprise cross-border attack carried out by Hamas on October 7.
