For many years, Leif GW Persson has donated money to children in Ukraine and now he has brought fellow writer Camilla Läckberg on the train. Together, the authors give money to the organization Barnens hopp. During Nyhetsmorgen’s broadcast, the criminology professor is surprised with a greeting from a family home in Ukraine and is noticeably touched.
“I don’t share a guilty conscience”
The gift is the joy of the giver, says GW. I don’t understand that those who have resources don’t share. Many people seem to live in the belief that whoever has the most money when they die wins.
– It’s a stupid notion because the sweep actually has no pockets.
I’ve never had a problem sharing with those who need it more than me.
