GTA Defeats PS Exclusive Game

The James Bond-themed Agent game, which will be released exclusively for PlayStation, was among Rockstar’s canceled projects because it was stuck in the development process of GTA4.

‘Agent’, one of Rockstar Games’ mysterious games that was canceled, was partially explained by a former developer. The studio, which has achieved great success with its series such as Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, has managed to become one of the best-selling games of all time with the latest versions of these games. While the studio pushes the limits of technology in its games, it creates best-selling games thanks to the attention it gives to details. However, long development processes are required to achieve this perfection, which causes the studio to take a long time to develop a new brand.

Rockstar’s PS Exclusive Game Has Been Canceled Because of GTA

Officially unveiled at the PlayStation E3 press conference in 2009, ‘Agent’ was planned to be released between Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Although the production, which will be a James Bond-like spy game, has been in development for a long time, it has not presented anything. However, it was removed from Rockstar’s website several years before there was an official cancellation announcement.

Obbe Vermeji, a former Rockstar Games developer, shared some new information about the project. The game was planned to be set in the 1970s and feature various advanced technologies. These included features such as a car that could transform into a glider and a submarine. The game would have a more linear structure, unlike Grand Theft Auto, and would include Cairo, France, and a ski resort in Switzerland. Additionally, a section involving a space station and lasers suggested that the game may have been influenced by the Roger Moore era of James Bond.

However, the reason for shelving the project was that all team members were focusing on the completion of Grand Theft Auto IV. Vermeji stated that the project was not completed even though it was transferred to another team. While it is still unclear whether Rockstar Games will realize ‘Agent’, it is possible to see traces of the game in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. These clues suggest that ‘Agent’ may still be on the studio’s agenda, but this is not definitive information yet.
