Gstaad Festival: the Federspiel septet combines music from the Alps and world music

Federspiel offers original music that has its roots in the personal history of its members and invites to break down the barriers between tradition and modernity.

Opening up new horizons towards contemporary music is the aim of one of the most prestigious classical music festivals. Through his series Today’s Music », the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy in Switzerland goes off the beaten track to make way for jazz, hip-hop and other musical experiences. This 66th edition around Vienna, the Austrian capital of the waltz, invites Federspiel, a wind ensemble that combines music from the Alps and music from around the world.
