Greece signed an agreement with France for the purchase of Belharra-type frigates and Rafale-type fighter jets.
With the agreement signed in Athens between Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panayotopoulos and French Defense Minister Florence Parly, Greece has formalized the purchase of frigates and 6 Rafale from France.
In his speech at the International Thessaloniki Fair in September 2021, Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis announced that the number of Rafale type warplanes to be procured from France would be increased from 18 to 24. (AA)
