Taylor Momsen is now primarily known as a singer. However, the start of her career looked completely different. At a young age she was signed by a modeling agency before appearing in various film and series productions dared to appear in front of the camera. Her biggest role was in Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012.
Before Gossip Girl, she was associated with one film in particular: The Grinch. Director Ron Howard’s Christmas comedy was released in 2000 and is based on the novel How the Grinch Stole Christmas has. Jim Carrey played the title character, Momsen played the second lead: Cindy Lou Who.

The Grinch is an important stage in Momsen’s career. In the latest edition of the podcast Podcrushed, the former actress reveals that she is keen on the role terrible nickname owes. As a child and teenager, she became just that “Grinch Girl” called.
In the podcast Momsen says:
The Grinch changed my life in many ways – one of which was that I laughed at mercilessly became. Every time I started a new school or went somewhere new, no one knew my real name. I was just Grinch Girl.
With Gossip Girl, Momsen was able to contrast her Grinch role with a larger role. However, her acting career shouldn’t last too long from this point on. She left the series in the 4th season and from then on devoted herself entirely to her music. Momsen has been the lead singer of the alternative rock band since 2009 The Pretty Recklesswhich has released four studio albums to date.
