Gordon Ramsay lavishly praised the oven feta pasta – Jenni Häyrinen, the inventor of the recipe: “There is no bigger name!”

Gordon Ramsay lavishly praised the oven feta pasta Jenni

Top chef Gordon Ramsay said in an interview with People magazine that social media is the best thing that has ever happened to the food industry. As an example, he used a Finnish hit recipe.

The author of the Liemäs food blog Jenni Häyrinen received a link to a story from a follower on Instagram late last night, which made my mouth drop open.

Top chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay had praised the baked feta pasta developed by Häyrinen in People magazine in an interview (you move to another service).

– My personal image of Gordon Ramsay is that he is quite critical and rarely gives such glowing and positive feedback about anything, Häyrinen wonders.

Häyrinen’s recipe has come a long way. Baked feta pasta, born in 2019, has been a hit dish in Finland and since then in the world, which has received a lot of praise from various public figures and influencers. But getting compliments from Ramsay is something completely different, according to Häyrinen.

– There is no bigger name! Here, you could half-jokingly say that this is the highlight of my career, or at least some kind of legal point regarding oven feta pasta.

For my own children, sometimes other food would also be fine

In Ramsay’s opinion, social media and the recipes that spread through it are the best thing that has ever happened to the food industry.

In an interview, the top chef said that foods like oven feta pasta helped people get over the pandemic when inspiration for cooking was shared on Tiktok, for example.

– This is how I have hoped that my recipes would bring joy and help to people’s everyday lives, Häyrinen says.

Although oven feta pasta has received exceptionally wide attention, Häyrinen does not feel that it has ultimately affected his own life. The work is done as before, and the inventor of the recipe himself has not experienced the feeling of boredom towards his hit dish.

– Baked feta pasta is like a cape that I wear and yes, I’m happy to wear it.

The situation is at least partially different for Häyrinen’s offspring.

– My own children’s reactions to oven feta pasta are starting to be “no, oven feta pasta!”, even though they liked it at first. At some point, I had to make it in our small kitchen for interviews so much that they would definitely like to eat something else now, Häyrinen laughs.

Ramsay’s comments were previously reported in Finland, among other things Iltalehti (you switch to another service).
