When a company grows as large as Google, a little housekeeping is necessary every now and then to keep operations running smoothly. In some cases it looks like a restructuring and staff change. Google recently began reorganizing its teams to accommodate its evolving products and services. As a result, a new name is being introduced to reflect some of the changes that have occurred specifically in the Fitbit division.

As spotted by 9to5Google and reflected on the official Fitbit website, Fitbit by Google has been abbreviated as simply “Google Fitbit.” There was also a slight change in capitalization; The Fitbit wordmark has a capitalized letter “F” and the Google Sans font is used throughout. Various Fitbit accessories have been added to the Google Store and a slight change has been made to the “Watches” category, which is now called “Watches & Trackers.”
