Golf: Ludvig Åberg in a new duel with Scottie Scheffler: “Sees the joy in being part of the top battle”

– It wasn’t as sharp as yesterday and the day before, but I held the last nine together when I felt that I wasn’t quite on the cutting edge. I see the joy in being in the top battle on a Sunday afternoon and being able to play golf, says Åberg in Discovery’s broadcast.

They were first and second in the major event The Masters at Augusta last Sunday. And now they’re taking the lead again. Scheffler leads at -16 after a phenomenal round of 63 tonight.

Åberg is tied four and has Scheffler three strokes ahead. Åberg started the first nine with three under par but went the final nine on par and lost, the game not sparkling as before. Åberg started with two rounds of 66 on the par 71 course.

Scheffler is energized by the fans

Scheffler lifted ten places and has been at home with his heavily pregnant wife after The Masters.

– I try to play as well as possible and try to get a good rest for tomorrow. There were some good shots and putts on a nice round, says Scheffler in Discovery’s broadcast.

The superior world number one Scheffler admits that he is tired and is trying to deal with it.

– I tried to rest as much as possible when I was at home but I feel tired now but the fans give me energy.
