Sony is continuing its policy of porting its exclusives to the platform for keyboard and mouse enthusiasts with this release, which has met with huge success, proving once again that this is the right decision. The title reached more than 70,000 concurrent players on Steam the weekend of its release, players who were able to experience the quest of Kratos and his son Atreus while enjoying 4K graphics and a fully unlocked framerate. What’s new for the PC version?
We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the PC version of God of War, and we can tell you that we feel the advantages of the platform very quickly. If the game remains extremely beautiful graphically speaking, it is no less demanding, and still requires a powerful machine if you want to enjoy decent framerates in 1440p or 4K. The game also incorporates the latest Nvidia features such as DLSS and Reflex technology for Nvidia cardholders. For those who are not really familiar with this technical jargon, DLSS makes it possible to calculate a given resolution from a lower resolution, allowing you to enjoy better frame rates per second without pushing your computer to its limits. Concretely, your computer runs your game in 1440p and the DLSS uses this resolution to display the game in 4K for example. On God of War, the rendering is quite breathtaking, offering performance in 4K and at 60 fps on fairly high-end machines.
