at times we walked around in red cloaks and little leather underpants and someone pointed to nothing and said, ‘Look, a burning village!’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god, is this going to be bad.’

But, fortunately, Butler was wrong. The film was a box office success and made both Butler and Snyder world famous. Filming, which largely took place in front of green screens, should become the blockbuster norm at the latest with the birth of the MCU.
