Gen V The Boys spin off reveals its cast

GEN V. The Boys saga will continue on Amazon Prime Video. In addition to a season 4 for the main series, a spin-off series has started filming. Check out the cast of Gen V.

The trashy superheroes of The Boys are popular on Amazon Prime Video. After an animated spin-off (Diabolical) and three seasons of its main series (season 4 has already been announced), the e-commerce giant’s streaming platform intends to develop its license in the years to come. A live-action spin-off is already filming. The official title of this new series is none other than Gen V, for generation V in reference to Vought, the company that manages its superheroes and their image with a firm hand. Here, the concept of the series is to follow a young generation of teenage superheroes in full formation. A first synopsis has been released for Gen V: “the lives of hormone-fueled superheroes who test their physical, sexual, and moral limits as they battle for the best contracts in the best cities.” At this stage, it is not yet known if certain characters from the main series will make an appearance in this spin-off series.

At the time of writing these lines, Amazon Prime Video hasn’t released an official release date for the Gen V series. year 2023.

In a video posted on Twitter, Amazon Prime Video formalized the cast of its Gen V series which will develop the universe of The Boys saga on the streaming platform. We find Jaz Sinclair (Roz in The New Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix), Patrick Schwarzenegger (seen in Midnight Sun or in The Terminal List – yes, it is indeed Arnold’s son), Lizzie Broadway (seen in the detective series The Rookie), Chance Perdomo (After Chapter 3 and 4, The New Adventures of Sabrina in the role of Ambrose), London Thor (Shameless), Asa Germann, Derek Luh (Runaways, Shining Vale) or even Maddie Phillips (Supernatural, Ghost Wars).

On this occasion, the young actors revealed some information about the series which, a priori, should be just as trashy as its big sister. “It’s crazy. You’ll love it” promises Chance Perdomo. “It will be full of blood, guts and everything you can imagine” announces Lizzie Broadway. London Thor wonders: “superheroes, a university… what could go wrong?” Asa Germann says this spin-off “has everything The Boys has. The intensity, the grit, the humor…” Maddie Phillips adds to that “a lot of hormones, drama and mystery”. Finally, Jaz Sinclair adds that the series will feature “love, beautiful relationships and a lot of action and superheroes”.
