Galaxy Note series disappears completely

News about the Samsung Galaxy Note series keeps coming, even after more than a year since the last release. It’s almost the end of 2021 right now and there is no sign of any Note series phones launching this year. The only flagship offering from Samsung in 2021 was the S21 series, and from it the S21 Ultra came with stylus support.
Regardless, another Samsung official recently confirmed that the release date of a new Galaxy Note device is now set for 2022. Considering that the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra device is touted as a true successor, the news feels a bit out of place. To the Note 20 Ultra, complete with a boxy design and an S Pen slot. Putting everything together, it’s like Samsung just couldn’t decide on the Note series.

Still, Samsung’s belief in the Fold series is not unfounded. The company has already managed to sell about 2.3 million foldables worldwide in the first half of 2021. That doesn’t include the very successful Galaxy Z Flip3 5G device launched in the second half of 2021…

Eliminating the Note series will allow Samsung to offer increased production capacity for foldable products, particularly the Z Flip series, which the company plans to sell 13 million units next year.

And for those who already miss the Galaxy Note series, it will be heartwarming to know that only the name ‘Note’ was discarded. The legacy of the series will live on with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and leaks suggest it will inherit most of the features from the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and perhaps offer more.
