“We are absolutely thrilled by the overwhelming response to this year’s gala,” said CTCF-CK foundation president Mike Genge, in the release.

“The outpouring of support from our sponsors, donors, and attendees is a testament to the incredible spirit of generosity in Chatham-Kent,” he added. “Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families who rely on the services provided by the center.”

The highlight of the evening was the live and silent auctions, where guests had the opportunity to bid on an array of exclusive items and experiences, all in support of the foundation.

One in five children in Chatham-Kent access services the children’s treatment center provides, the foundation said.

Not all services at the treatment center are covered by government funding, the foundation added. Programs such as social work, therapeutic recreation services and music therapy are all funded by the foundation.

“Proceeds from this event will mean families continue to receive connection, comfort and support by accessing these services,” the foundation said.

The next foundation fundraiser is the run for the kids event on June 23 that will be held in Rondeau Provincial Park. The family-friendly event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, the foundation said. It will include a paved 200 meter and 5 kilometer road accessible for strollers, wheelchairs and wagons.
