As part of the development of its activities, Futura is recruiting a Scientific Journalist (M/F) to cover the news in our Science and Planet sections.
Integrated into the heart of our recognized scientific media, you will have at your disposal all the assets of an innovative team to propose original subjects, in various formats (text, image, sound, video).
Portal Internet dedicated to science and technology, Futura has been offering unique editorial content for 20 years to an average of 20 million visitors each month. Through five headings (sciences, health, home, tech, planet), more than 100,000 editorial contents are accessible in various formats (news, files, dictionaries, videos, etc.) and in 500 universe themes.
Your mission, if you accept it
Within the editorial staff, you will intervene on the following subjects:
- Daily monitoring of current scientific topics;
- Writing and publishing original content: brief, news, interview, survey;
- Development of multimedia projects (image, audio and video);
- Reinforcement of seasonal topics (dictionary and questions-answers);
- Coverage of events, fairs and interventions on the social networks ;
- Participation in the development of new editorial formats.
Required profile
You have dual skills (scientific faculty, journalism school) and significant experience in a similar function with a sharp pen. Your scientific culture is solid and covers various themes. With impeccable French, a sense of formula, great curiosity and a real talent for popularizing, you know how to combine the precision of the words with the pleasure of reading.
You have a good knowledge of the Internet, monitoring tools and social networks, in order to flush out original, exclusive and diversified subjects. As part of recent projects, you are familiar with audio (podcast/radio) or video formats, from reflection to production.
You have a culture of challenge to surpass yourself, conquer new visitors, offer innovative formats and develop the audiences of the site.
Rigorous, imaginative, organized, autonomous, reagentstrength of proposal, open-minded, versatile, loving teamwork, with excellent technical skills, you are very motivated and convinced that the environment of an SME is made for you.
