A cannonball accidentally fired from a Thai Navy warship at Sattahip Naval Base in Chonburi province of Thailand at around 11.50 local time hit another warship.
A FIRE BREAKED OUT ON THE SHOT SHIP
A fire broke out when a cannonball fired from the HTMS Chonburi ship, the cause of which has not yet been determined, hit the HTMS Khirirat ship in the same port. 13 soldiers were injured, 2 of them seriously, in the fire that broke out on the damaged ship HTMS Khirirat.
While many firefighters and ambulances were dispatched to the scene, the Thai Navy has not yet made an official statement about the incident.
It was stated that the HTMS Chonburi ship, where the cannonball was fired, returned to the base from a military exercise last night and its ammunition was not unloaded.
