Friday Bike Night charity barbecues return June 2

Tillsonburg’s Friday Bike Night is back.

Every Friday night this summer – weather permitting – a charity barbecue will be held from 6-9 pm in the Tillsonburg Legion Branch 153 parking lot at 16 Durham Street. The 2023 season kicks off on Friday, June 2.

All are welcome. No bike? No problem! Come and check out the amazing variety of motorcycles. Grab some food and enjoy some live music by VIER on opening night.

“We would like to thank the community as well as riders outside our local area for supporting this great fundraising event,” said Amanda McCarey in a media release. “We can’t wait to see you all this year. Ride safe!”

Hosted by Bill and Rick McCarey, the barbecue is sponsored by Tillsonburg Fire Association and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 153. Last year, during the inaugural eight-week Bike Night season $11,374 was donated to the Tillsonburg Legion.

A hamburger or hot dog, with pop/water, is $5. T-shirts are $25 and 50-50 tickets and prize draws available. This year there is a draw for a $750 weekend rental voucher from Rocky’s Harley Davidson, to be drawn July 14. All Friday Bike Night proceeds to Tillsonburg Legion Branch 153.

Mike and Christina Gazley of Tim Hortons Oxford and Simcoe street will be bringing coffee! Warhorse Veterans motorcycle club is a sponsor and Wayne McKenzie Embroidery is a donor.
