A large number of fake articles with Frida’s name and face are being spread around social media in a most unpleasant way.
– Nah, but how boring, says the Swede to Expressen when she sees the fake articles.
– What can be done about something like this? This must be illegal. I will contact the police.
“Very sad”
Karlsson is completely saddened by the way people use her to make money by deceiving other Swedes. Everything feels extremely uncomfortable for the skiing hero who has now finished the season.
– I’ve been involved in similar things before, that fake accounts were started in my name. After all, someone is trying to make money from it. It’s very sad, she says in the interview.

Former cross-country skier Stina Nilsson was also affected by fake articles about herself on social media and chose to report it to the police. In her case, it seems to have helped, because the articles have disappeared.
– I just want to urge people to continue reporting the articles to the police, I think there are new ones about other people. I don’t want anyone to be able to make money that way and use someone else’s name for that purpose, Stina told the evening newspaper at the time.
