Talk about a bang in the coffers for Frida Karlsson!
The Swede has collected a whopping 2.4 million kroner after the successful season.
Now the 23-year-old reveals what she will do for all the prize money.

The World Cup is over for this season and the Swedish hope Frida Karlsson can sum up a very impressive effort on the international front. The 23-year-old has convinced at the World Cup, won the entire Tour de Ski and won four WC medals in Planica.

Frida’s success

In addition, she has been the main contributor to the Swedish national skiing team breaking double records with the most podium places at the World Cup ever and the most medals of all time during a skiing World Cup. She herself is very satisfied with the successful season.
– I’ve had a good season right through. In the past, I’ve hit a bit more every now and then – but this winter it’s been better. So I am very happy with my season – with the victory in the Tour de ski at the top. And then a good WC at that, she tells SportExpressen.

Frida Karlsson is also rewarded greatly for her success on the ski slopes around the world. She is actually the blue-yellow skater who has taken home the most prize money during the season.

2.4 million

The receipt from the World Cup landed at just over 1.8 million kroner, and together with the bonus from the ski association, the Swede reaches a whopping 2.4 million kroner for the year. Then there are also bonuses from her sponsors, but they are a substantial increase compared to her previous seasons.
– Yes, but I haven’t seen any of them yet. Someone else takes care of that part, says Frida with a smile to the evening newspaper.

The Swedish star in cross-country skiing then gets the chance to reveal what she will do for the prize money. And then gives a fairly humble answer.
– Yes you, good question. I think I can afford a trip anyway. Otherwise I’ll probably just be boring and save. It will probably be a “last minute” trip somewhere, she admits in the interview.
