A female walrus that spends its time on the coast of Oslo has been spotted dozing on boats and chasing ducks and swans.

Toured the coast of Norway Freya-the walrus has again come up to jump on the boats in the country’s capital, Oslo. Nicknamed Freya, the 600-kilogram marine mammal bent boats under it while moving through coastal landscapes.

Before landing in Norway, Freya has also been spotted in Britain, Holland, Denmark and Sweden. Before arriving in Oslo, the walrus was spotted in the town of Kragerø on the south coast of Norway, where it climbed onto yachts.

Walruses are usually found in northern sea areas, which is their natural habitat.

The Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang has now started tracking on its website, where you can follow the walrus’ movements in real time.

Walruses sleep up to 20 hours a day. Even though Freya takes long naps, she has also had time to hustle. Among other things, it has been seen chasing ducks and swans and climbing on top of boats to take a nap. However, Mursu’s huge weight of 600 kilograms will test this hobby.

At first, the authorities were afraid that Freya would pose a danger and considered relocating or even euthanizing her, but have since decided to leave the walrus alone.

According to Norwegian fisheries authorities, Freya appears to be in good health, resting and eating. The walruses’ diet includes molluscs, crabs and small fish.

However, the authorities advise people to stay away from the walrus and avoid swimming and paddling near it. Even though the walrus looks slow, it can be dangerous if it doesn’t get the rest it needs and feels threatened. An adult male walrus weighs about a thousand kilograms and females weigh about 700 kilograms.
