Free income tax clinics available for low income earners

Community Resource Service and Millard Chartered Professional Accountants are again teaming up to provide free income tax clinics to low-income earners.

“These free clinics give people the help they need to complete their income tax returns,” said Heather Vanner, executive director of Community Resource Service. “It’s a great partnership.”

People are encouraged to call 519-751-4357 to book an appointment.

Appointments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis until March 8, when registration closes.

Eligibility for the clinics is based on total income per household and will be determined when calling for registration.

“Millards staff are happy to use their expertise and volunteers once again to assist low-income individuals in our community,” said Trevor Schein of Millards, who is chair of the income tax clinics.

Millards provides services in corporate and personal taxes, financial and estate planning, auditing and business consulting and valuations.

Community Resource Service operates the Brantford food bank, community employment services and the Christmas Baskets program.
