According to reports in the Pakistani media, a factory in the Site district of the city announced that free food items will be distributed to the families of its employees.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS NOT TAKEN
Due to the lack of security measures in the distribution of the package containing the food items, 11 people, including 8 women and 3 children, lost their lives and 6 were injured in the stampede. Police detained 7 people who organized the distribution.
7 people, 2 of them women, died in the stampede due to the free flour distributed by the government on March 27 in the states of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
