Now former national team hero Fredrik Ljungberg is roaring.

Not since October 12, 2021 had Alexander Isak managed to find the nets in the Swedish national team shirt. It took a full 697 days for the national team striker to finally break the goal drought in Blågult.

On Friday evening, the long-awaited goal came when Isak headed in 3-0 against Estonia just before the half-time break. In the end, it was 5-0 in the EC qualifying match away from home and the 23-year-old was probably extra happy after the final whistle.

Because there has been a lot of talk about Isak’s lack of goals and the former national team player Fredrik Ljungberg roars away. All the talk about the young Newcastle player has made “Freddie” worried and angry.
– As an old player, you get pissed off when the media brings up something like this. You get worried that the player will be worried and find it even more difficult to score, says Ljungberg in Viaplay.
