It is the children Moon, Dweezil, Ahmet and Diva who decided to sell Zappa’s property to Universal Music Group for a hitherto unknown sum.
The American artist, guitarist and lyricist was extremely productive during his career and released over 60 records, among other things. Frank Zappa also recorded most of his concerts – recordings stored in a repository called “The vault”.
In the past, artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, John Legend, Tina Turner, Neil Young and Shakira have also sold their song catalogs.
Frank Zappa died in 1993.
