While the war rages in the Gaza Strip, the future of a Gazan family, settled since 2018 near Rennes, in the west of France, is hanging over the French administration. The Awads hope to benefit from asylum. Without it, the couple and their three children could face eviction. Last May, the prefecture issued them an OQTF, an obligation to leave the territory. The family has since been experiencing double anguish; for their loved ones remaining in Gaza and for their future in France.
