Provincial Funding Will Provide Access to High-Quality, Compassionate, End-of-Life Care Close to Home, Said a Media Release.

“This announcement is a major milestone for our community,” Said Andrea Binkle, Executive Director of the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice. “The need for hospice care in our region is growing, and these fourred beds will make a meaningful different in the lives of individuals facing end-of-life days and families.”

“This annou beginning Brings US One Step Closer to Building A Hospice Residence that will serve our community for generations to come,” Said Michael Godelie, flesh of the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice Board of Directors.

In 2024, Hospice Officials Announced the Donation of 10 Acres of Land in Jarvis – A Central Rental to Serve Residents of Both Counties – For the Project.

Alan “Willy” Williamson Offered A Portion of His Family’s Farmland Just North of the Haldimand County Town in Honour of His Late Father, Drew, A Longtime Business Owner and Support of the Community.

Fundraising has already begun for the project that has an estimated cost of $ 14 million. Additional Details on the Building Phase will be available in the coming months.

Haldimand Norfolk Community Hospice Offers Programs Such as Bereavement Support, Hope and Healing Paint Workshops.

Earlier this Month the Hospice Reced A $ 125.700 Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation with funds Going Towards Grief and Bereavement Programs. The Programs Designed to Help People Deal With Grief Included One-On-One Counselling, Peer Support Groups, and Educational Workshops.
