The military plane that crashed into the country participated in the NATO Cold Response exercise in Norway, in which Finland and Sweden have participated in addition to the NATO countries. The weather was very windy at the time of the accident.

The U.S. Marines ’V-22B Osprey military plane crashed on Friday afternoon on its way to Bodø, where it was scheduled to arrive at 6pm local time.

However, the plane fell to the ground in Gråtådalen in the municipality of Beiarn in Nordland County, less than two kilometers from the nearest buildings. The weather was very windy at the time of the accident.

Police arrived at the scene of the accident on Saturday night at 1:30 p.m. The entire four-member crew of the plane was found dead.

In Norway, the military aircraft had participated in the NATO Alliance’s Cold Response exercise, which in addition to NATO countries involved Finland and Sweden.

Despite the accident, the exercise continues as planned.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident and also reported it to the Norwegian Accident Investigation Board AIBN.

However, the weather at the scene of the accident is really bad and the investigation at the scene has been suspended until the weather conditions improve.
