Georgina Steytler is an Australian nature and bird photographer, writer and conservationist. Over the years, she has mastered the technical aspects of nature photography, while developing her sensitivity and her style to achieve an aesthetically pleasing composition. Georgina Steytler favors the light natural in the morning and that of the end of the afternoon, avoiding too strong lights. She enjoys working in wet area where she can lay by the water’s edge and let the birds come to her, rather than “chasing” them. Through her passion for birds, she hopes to encourage each of us to see birds and other animals as individuals with personality, beauty, talent and wisdom.

I find that if you are calm and patient, and sit or lie down, you will have a much better chance of approaching the birds. My favorite location for photography is northern Western Australia, where birds and species birds abound, in a variety of habitats ranging from arid pastures to wetlands and forests of monsoon. »
