What did Hammarby’s Deniz Gül and Marc Llinares have in common before the meeting with IFK Norrköping? None of them had scored a goal yet in the Allsvenskan.
What did they have in common after the match? That they both broke their goal zeros. This when Hammarby defeated Norrköping 2-1 away.
Lobbed in the lead goal on the volley
19-year-old Gül opened the scoring in Östergötland after just over a quarter had been played and the goal from Llinares came 15 minutes from full time when Bajen regained the lead. In between, Tim Prica had netted to make it 1-1.
Llinare’s goal was a delicacy where he met a cross from Nahir Besara on a volley in the penalty area and lobbed the ball over Norrköping’s goalkeeper, Oscar Jansson (see the goal in the clip above).
First away win
Norrköping chased an equalizer and at the end of the match had seven extra minutes to find a 2-2 goal.
But it didn’t happen that way, Norrköping lost and remains on ten points in the Allsvenskan table. Hammarby overtakes “Peking” on twelve points.
This was Hammarby’s first away win this season.
– The football match was perhaps not the best one has seen. But the fight we stand up in is damn awesome and we are proud of the effort. In the second half we are quite good, says Hammarby’s coach, Kim Hellberg to Discovery+.
