Foot: the 2023 Champions Trophy postponed to January

Mbappe best player in Ligue 1 for the fourth consecutive

The 2023 Champions Trophy between Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse will not be held in Bangkok (Thailand) on August 5 as planned but elsewhere “abroad” and “early January”, said LFP President Vincent Labrune . The traditional match between the champion of France (PSG) and the winner of the Coupe de France (Téfécé) “will not take place this summer in Thailand for reasons completely independent of the Professional Football League (LFP)”, explained the manager. Since 2009 and a Bordeaux-Guingamp in Montreal, the LFP has been trying to relocate its Champions Trophy to promote Ligue 1 abroad. The two previous ones were played in Tel Aviv, the meeting was also played for example in China (2014, 2018 and 2019), in Morocco (2011 and 2017) or in the United States in 2012.
