Five from the same family suspected of murder in Malå

A fifth person has been arrested on suspicion of a murder in Malå in Västerbotten at the beginning of February. The arrested man is part of “the same family constellation” as the four people who were arrested earlier, according to the prosecutor.

The man who was attacked in his home in Malå on 13 February raised the alarm himself. When the police arrived at the scene, the man was seriously injured – but he gave an initial testimony before he died.

A woman in her 40s and a man in her 50s have been in custody since February on probable cause, suspected of the murder. On April 25, two men aged 20-25 were arrested and detained on probable cause, suspected of the murder.

The prosecutor’s office writes in a press release on Saturday that on Friday an additional person was arrested in the case. Everyone must belong to the same “family constellation”.

All are suspected of murdering a 30-year-old man in February this year.
