The Last of Us star wants to expand horror franchise with prequel to Bill and Frank
One of the most popular The Last of Us episodes tells the story of the relationship between the suspicious Bill (Offerman) and the gentle Frank (Murray Bartlett), who spend a happy life together despite the zombie epidemic. Many fans would like more story information about the two protagonists. Offerman explained to Comic Book:
[Die Idee] has already been pitched. We have a entire prequel miniseries [Bills und Franks] Life before their first meeting suggested. It could be a musical [Scherz]. There is no shortage of ideas. We’ll see what [die Produzenten] Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann come up with it.

A prequel is therefore likely to please fans lead to the beginnings of the pandemic, when both men still lead separate lives. While the parent series hints at Bill’s rather shy life before the outbreak, little is known about Frank’s backstory.
It is not yet possible to estimate whether the prequel to Bill and Frank will become a reality. Mazin and Druckmann will be busy with The Last of Us season two. A spin-off, if it comes, will be a little longer to come.
