For the occasion, as every year, several towns set off fireworks, to the delight of holidaymakers and locals alike. However, due to the drought and the start of fires in different departments, some municipalities will decide to cancel their pyrotechnic events. Many people will still be able to enjoy this summer show, which has nothing to envy to the fireworks set off during the National Day. The animations can even be more impressive than those of the July 14th.

On the theme “Unexpected”, the bay of Cannes offers a pyrotechnic and musical journey inspired by key titles from the 70s and 80s which have a real pyrotechnic “soul”. The fireworks display on August 15, 2023 is set off at 10 p.m. as part of the “Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival“, a free event.
Like every year, a fireworks display is fired on August 15, 2023 at 10 p.m. from Fort Saint Louis. The pyrotechnic show is preceded by a aerobatic show by the Alphajets of the Patrouille de France above the Mourillon beaches at 4 p.m. Remember to arrive in advance to find a place on Mourillon beach.
Tuesday August 15, 2023, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Landings in Provence, the municipality of Le Lavandou is organizing a ceremony of remembrance at 11 a.m. in the Square des Héros, then a reception at noon on the square of the Hôtel de City. La Baule is not organizing a fireworks display on August 15, but the day before, the Monday, August 14, 2023, observable from La Baule beach opposite Avenue du Général de Gaulle at 10:30 p.m. Shot from the bay of La Baule-Escoublac, special measures are in place to reinforce the safety of the event. Travel on foot or by bike is preferred and it is recommended to park far away because part of the seafront and avenue de Gaulle are closed to vehicles.
There city of Biarritz set the sky ablaze with pyrotechnic creations on August 15, 2023 from 10:45 p.m. Go to the Grande Plage to watch the fire fired from the Rocher du Basta and from the Grande Plage on the side of the Hôtel du Palais. The device deploys for 20 minutes.
On the Port de l’Herbaudière in Noirmoutier-en-l’Île, a fireworks display is set off at 10:30 p.m. on August 15, 2023, followed by a concert by the groovy Lyon quintet Da Break.
