The forest never stops burning in La Teste-de-Buch, a town in the very touristy Arcachon basin, and in Landiras and Guillos, south of the Gironde. The two fires in Gironde burned nearly 14,000 hectares of forest, according to the prefecture. The flames are still progressing on Monday and the firefighters are preparing for a high-risk day in the face of the heat and the rotating winds announced.
