An apartment building will burn down on Värmdö.
One person has been taken to hospital and another person is missing.
– It is a fully developed fire, says Ludvig Sääf, management operator at the rescue service.
At 19.39 the police and emergency services were called to an address on Värmdö outside Stockholm. A two-story villa with four apartments was fully engulfed in flames.
– One person is injured and one person is believed to be still in the house, says Ludvig Sääf.
The injured person has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The extent of the damage is unclear.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the emergency services announced that they will let the house burn down. Most likely it will burn until morning.
Fire in the same house yesterday
According to the emergency services, there was also a fire in the same apartment building on Sunday.
– We were also at the scene yesterday and then there had been a fire in a coffee table. The fire was out when we got there and we helped to blow out the smoke, says Christer Ahlström at rescue center Mitt.
Whether the fires have any connection to each other or whether they happened in the same apartment is still unclear.
– But what we got today was that flames shot out of a window, says Christer Ahlström.
The suspicion: aggravated arson
The emergency services had four stations on site during Monday evening.
The police were also called to the scene and have set up a cordon.
– We are there to assist the emergency services, says Nadya Norton, police spokesperson.
A preliminary investigation into aggravated arson has been launched as the police cannot rule out crime. No one has yet been arrested.
