This is what thedirector and general manager of Enel, Francesco Starace, on the occasion of the presentation of the Fim Enel MotoE World championship 2023, the world championship of electric motorcycles, held today at the Vallelunga racetrack. “Such an extreme use of electric mobility also supports the daily one – added Starace -. These races are also fun, a fantastic show, but they are also a way to push technologies forward, to improve materials and solutions and make them more efficient, easier to use and more common in everyday use, a very effective way of accelerating technologies”.
Today a new era begins for MotoE: the electric series becomes the world championship. What does this milestone represent for Enel?
“It is a great satisfaction for us. We were among the first, if not the first, to give credit to this incredible opportunity which is the sporting competition between electric motorcycles. Seeing this MotoE championship take hold so well, in such a complete way, it is extremely interesting and represents a great satisfaction”.
Is there any news on the front of recharging electric vehicles?
“There are constant innovations. This is a technology that continues to evolve with the evolution of these vehicles. We have to adapt to this continuous improvement of the technologies that cars and electric motorcycles currently carry around. This is pushed from competitions like this because it is in this area that new technologies are tested. Everything improves, performance, times, speeds and recharging powers improve, and consequently the whole system slowly becomes common knowledge”.
