Fallout trailer lets the world end and still has fun

Netflix has 3 Body Problem and Amazon is launching Fallout in April. The science fiction spring begins with the mail order streamer Adaptation of the video game series of the same name, which first took us into the post-apocalypse in 1997. While fans are still waiting for Fallout 5, they can make do with the series adaptation, which obviously doesn’t compromise on visual effects. Today the first long trailer for the sci-fi project was released.

Fallout – Trailer (German) HD

That’s what Fallout on Amazon is about. The fall of the world we know rarely puts you in a good mood and series like The Walking Dead wallow in the devastating horror of the post-apocalypse. In Fallout the tone seems to be a bit more colorful. The series takes place 200 years after the apocalypse, which was caused by a nuclear war. Some survivors find refuge in bunkers called vaults. In the trailer we meet “Vaultie” Lucy (Ella Purnell), who has spent her entire life in a panic basement.

On the surface in destroyed Los Angeles, she meets monsters, mutants and humans. One of them is the fighter Maximus (Aaron Moten), who belongs to the Brotherhood of Steel group. A less pleasant contemporary is called The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and looks like the burned mutant version of Ed Harris’ Man in Black from Westworld.

Westworld is the right keyword for a look behind the scenes. The series’ staff includes producers Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, who remade Westworld together for HBO. Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner are on board as the creator and showrunner team.

Then the science fiction series comes to Amazon Prime Video

Fallout starts on April 12, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.

The other cast includes Twin Peaks legend Kyle MacLachlan and Dale Dickey, who has enriched numerous films and series from Winter’s Bone to The Mandalorian.
