Fallout author Scott Bennie dies

The author of Bethesda’s beloved play has passed away. Fallout author Scott Bennie has passed away at the age of 61.

Author and original Fallout contributor, Scott Bennie, has died at the age of 61. During his time at Interplay in the 1990s, Bennie was the designer, writer and producer of numerous games, including The Lord of the Rings, Starfleet Academy, Starfleet Command and its sequels.

After his active game development career, the author, who mostly prepared source books for desktop FRP games, worked on RPG versions of The Lord of the Rings and World of Warcraft, and Marvel Superheroes.

Bennie reportedly passed away this week due to complications from pneumonia. The author, who received many statements from his former colleagues that they were also upset, named Dogmeat in Fallout in an interview with him in 2017, for which he said, “If there is something that will last in my writing career, it will be the name of the dog.” he said.
