(Finance) – Contrasting numbers for Eurozone retail sales in February 2024. According to Eurostat, sales fell by 0.5% on a monthly basis, performing worse than the previous month’s +0% (revised from -0.1%). The figure is lower than analysts’ estimates, which were for a decrease of 0.3%.
Every yearsales recorded a negative change of -0.7%, compared to -0.9% in the previous month (revised from -1%) and the -1.3% indicated by the consensus.
In the’Europe of the 27 sales decreased by 0.4% on a monthly basis, while on an annual basis they recorded -0.2%.
