ENPAPI, Baldini: “Fair compensation law of civilization that protects workers”

ENPAPI Baldini Fair compensation law of civilization that protects workers

(Finance) – “With the definitive approval by Parliament, after a long process that lasted 3 years, of the draft law on fair compensation, a decisive turning point has been made in the protection of workers, whether self-employed or employees. It is a an essential reform, long awaited, which we welcome with great interest and satisfaction, a norm of civility, which offers the necessary guarantees in the defense of professional dignity, until now widely disregarded in practice”. He claims it Luigi Baldini, president of ENPAPI, the National Body for the Presidency and Assistance of the Nursing Profession, regarding the new law on fair compensation.

“The new law on fair compensation – he adds Baldini – finally regulates the existing distortions by defining the right limits in the remuneration of professional services, as enshrined in Article 36 of the Constitution, remuneration which must therefore be proportionate to the quantity and quality of the work performed. We share the words of the president of the Constitutional Court Silvana Sciarra, which pointed to low wages as a serious problem, identifying the wage lever as a concrete growth tool. The willingness to monitor the implementation of the law on fair compensation to verify its correct application is also appreciable, through the establishment of an ad hoc Observatory at the Ministry of Justice. The hope, however – concludes the president of ENPAPI – is that the new rule can be applied not only to new agreements to be stipulated but also to those already in place, for example making them operational for new assignments even if within the old agreements “.
