A former employment agency in Dalarna wanted to get extra money from a job matching company after making decisions that benefited the company. Now the man is being sentenced for bribery in the Falu district court, writes the newspaper Arbetet.

In a text message, the employment agency suggested a bonus of “1,000 kroner per case” from the company.

The manager of the company replied that they could not agree to that – and went on to inform the Employment Agency about the man’s behaviour.

The SMS conversation was important evidence in the trial.

The man, who was fired in 2021, is sentenced to a suspended sentence and daily fines, according to Arbetet. However, the prosecutor is not satisfied with the sentence and has appealed the verdict to the Court of Appeal.
