Elon Musks big shiny X removed after complaints

Elon Musk’s big bright “X” has been removed from the top of X Corp’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco.

Forming part of Musk’s efforts to rebrand Twitter as X, the setup is the company’s newest addition to Twitter’s iconic bluebird. It was placed on top of the building on Friday, just days after it officially unveiled the X logo.

Residents across the street also complained that the light emitted by the sign was too bright. Reports to the city about the sign at least 24 complaints claimed to have been sent.

Workers arrived at noon on Monday to remove the sign from the roof of X Corp. It’s unclear whether X Corp has asked permission to re-install the sign at a later date.

This isn’t the first encounter the company formerly known as Twitter has had with San Francisco officials. As CNBC noted, When Musk bought Twitter in October last year, local officials suspected the business of building code violations. they had researched.
