eight collectible Alfa Romeos at auction – LExpress

According to the expert Adolfo Orsi, who publishes a collector’s car quote every year – the Classic Car Auction Yearbook -, this pleasure investment is becoming more and more attractive. In 2023, 11,000 vehicles were put up for sale and 340 auctions exceeded one million dollars. If beginner collectors buy 2CVs for less than 30,000 euros, the wealthiest spend several million for legendary racing models, like those from the Alfa Romeo brand.

On April 21, in Fontainebleau, fans will be in for a treat. The Osenat auction house is offering eight Alfa Romeos in perfect working order for auction. They belong to two passionate collectors, Gérald and David Bugnon. The story began like this: heading out for winter sports at the wheel of their Dauphine, they were overtaken by a roaring Alfa Romeo Giulietta. David then tricks his father into changing cars for this car. Which he did without hesitation, acquiring a Giulietta for his personal use and a GTV for his wife.

From the 1990s, Gérald began a collection, participated in rallies, searched for the rarest models and created a racing team engaged in VHC, historic competition vehicles. It is the fruit of this quest for automotive perfection which will be put up for sale. Depending on their means, everyone will find what they are looking for. Estimates range from 25,000 euros for a Giulietta TI type 753 from 1958 to 2.5 million euros for an Alfa Romeo 33/2 Daytona from 1969.
