Edvin Anger took home his first World Cup victory.

The ski weekend in French Les Rousses was a great success for Edwin Anger. For the first time in his career, he got to step on the very top of the podium in the World Cup.
Anger’s anger
The 22-year-old took home the sprint final on Saturday and celebrated with a huge cheer after the finish. But afterwards the joy has been mixed with a real irritation as well.

Anger has had to receive a warning after the competition victory, for having broken the rules.
– I saw the situation and I think it is very tough. It’s in the quarter finals, I’m actually changing tracks and going to put the ski back in the track and miss a little bit, so I have to take a skate cut. It’s a shame that you get a yellow card for that, he says to Expressen.
– There will be a lot of consequences because if I get another yellow, I will be washed. But you have to think about it.
Edvin annoyed
Edvin Anger is very disappointed with the outcome and appeals to the jury to examine the situation more closely.
– I was quite annoyed when I saw it yesterday. It’s hard to give yellow on that. If you had checked a little and seen that I don’t do it on purpose, says the Swede to the evening newspaper.

Sunday’s race was tougher for the sprinter, who came 20th in the mass start over two miles.
– A heavier day, absolutely. At the same time, I am quite happy with what I do. I get a tough start and get more and more into the race at the end, he admits in the interview.
