(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Edison Energygroup company Edison active in the sale of electricity and gas to households and businesses and value-added services to the retail market, has reached 2 million contracts between residential customers, SMEs and industrial customersconsolidating the third position in the national market for electricity volumes and the second position for gas volumes sold (respectively 14.2 TWh and 6.6 billion cubic meters of gas during 2022).
The strategic development plan to 2030 of Edison Energia now provides the doubling of contracts to 4 million between commodities, services and energy efficiency products (photovoltaic, heat pump, boiler and climate control), electric mobility solutions and insurance products for the protection of domestic systems.
The achievement of 4 million contracts by 2030 will mainly take place through the organic developmentbut also through inorganic growth opportunities with the acquisition of large and small companies, as already happened between 2018 and 2022, with Gas Natural, Attiva, Energia Etica and Gaxa, as well as through participation in end-of-protection tenders.
The development plan to 2030 also includes the goal of reaching over 1,000 Edison brand stores nationwide and 3,000 artisans, 2,200 energy communities in condominiums (for over 120 MW of total photovoltaic capacity by 2030)
On the e-mobility front, it expects to reach an 8% market share by 2030 as regards the supply of electricity used for top-ups and the installation of over 100,000 charging points for families, VAT numbers and small companies.
As regards the supply of natural gas, biomethane, LNG (liquefied natural gas) and bioLNG, Edison Energia supplies 13 refueling stations for heavy vehicles and 380 refueling stations for cars, of which 43 under the Edison brand. By 2030, 25,000 tonnes of LNG and bioLNG will be marketed each year by Edison Energia. Finally, with over 100 million cubic meters per year, Edison Energia is the leading operator in Italy for volumes of biomethane sold and, starting from 2018, was the first operator to collect and deliver it in the country. The goal for 2030 expects to reach acopen more than 10% of the volumes of gas business customers served with green gas.
