An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 occurred off the Kermadec Islands, which is connected to New Zealand and located in the Pacific Ocean. In the statement made by the US Geological Survey (USGS), it was reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 40 kilometers south of the Kermadec Islands.
The US Tsunami Warning System announced that there was no tsunami risk after the earthquake.
No loss of life or property has been reported in the earthquake so far.
