Dunnville bank employees report fraud in progress

A Mississauga woman is facing several charges after employees at a bank in Dunnville alerted police to a fraud in progress.

Haldimand OPP officers responded to the financial institution on Thursday, March 30.

“Bank employees recognized the suspect from an internal memo and contacted police,” Haldimand OPP said in a media release.

A 34-year-old Mississauga woman was subsequently charged with fraud over $5,000 and four counts of use, deals, acts on forged document.

The investigation is ongoing and police say more charges are anticipated.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
